How to Have a Dream Honeymoon at Disney World

5 Tips for a Magical Disney Honeymoon

Thinking of taking your honeymoon at Disney World? We did, and we had the time of our lives! Some might think that Disney is just for kids, but there is so much fun for adults to have as well! Planning any type of Disney vacation can be stressful and expensive, so here are my top five tips that I hope will help you out as you plan your perfect trip.

Disney World Honeymoon

1. If you know a cast member, ask them if they can help you get your resort for a discounted price. We have connections with an employee who actually works in a Disney resort, and she was able to get us a huge discount so that we could stay in a really nice room for a reasonable price! We stayed in the Port Orleans Riverside Resort, and we loved it! The free shuttle rides to the parks were amazing and so convenient. We definitely loved this little splurge for our special honeymoon trip, but next time we visit we will probably stick to a more budget-friendly resort.

2. Make reservations at fancy restaurants. We ate at quite a few of the more expensive restaurants, but we usually shared to keep on budget! My all-time favorite restaurant we ate at was Be Our Guest in the Beast's castle! After we ate, we even got to meet the beast!

3. Get the Memory Maker! One person should buy the Memory Maker, because the pictures that you will get from it are so much better than you trying to get some random person to take it on your phone for you. We had people taking our pictures as much as we wanted, and we got some great shots that we wouldn't have gotten on our own. Some of the characters will even get you to do some cute poses with them. All the pictures are loaded onto your app, where you can then save them to your phone!

4. Get the free "Happily Ever After" buttons. These buttons got us free glasses of champagne, free desserts, and a thousand "Congratulations!" from strangers. Don't expect it from every restaurant, but the nicer, sit down places in the parks usually always gave us either dessert or a glass of champagne. We even got free Icees in Epcot which were so good on a hot day!

5. Take some time to rest and relax! Almost every day we would wake up in the morning, go to the park as soon as it opened, and then after lunch we would go back to our resort and take a nap. Once we were rested, we would hop back on the bus and explore the park more until it closed! Then we would either head to bed or go for a dip in the pool. We also made sure that we had a day with no parks planned, where we were free to just lay by the pool as long as we wanted.

All in all, this was one of my favorite trips of all time, and I can't wait to visit Disney World again! Hopefully it will be soon if I can talk my husband into it. Comment or ask me a question below!
